increase your performance

Do you want to increase your performance and productivity every day? If so, you have come to the right place. Your daily performance and productivity will all depend on how you started the day.

If you started your day properly, you will indeed have an above-average performance. So, how do you start your day properly in a way that will boost your performance? Well, that is where I come in. I have put together a list of 12 routines you should do every morning to boost your performance and increase your productivity.

Without further ado, the following are the 13-morning routines to increase your performance.

1. Make a full day plan and respect it

You should make a detailed plan for your day. Your plan must include everything you will do during the day and how it will all be completed. The best way to plan is to give more priority to the most important tasks first. Then allocated extra time to things that will not cause harm if they are not completed.

Planning your day every morning gives you a chance to cover everything and meet your customer’s or personal demands. This is a way to increase your performance and productivity as nothing will be left to chance. Make sure that you adjust your tasks as needed and evaluate how you are doing throughout the day.

2. How to increase your performance: Wake up early

Most of us never wake up early and we end up paying the price. Successful people wake up early. When you get up early enough, you achieve more during the day. In addition, it gives you enough time to do the most important task of the day: Having breakfast. Your breakfast is the most important meal of the day and waking up early will help you prep it, eat it, and get ready for work.

Everything in life is about mental programming and stress management. If you are rushing in the morning due to sleeping in, your entire day is ruined already. That is you started the day with stress, and therefore, you will most likely end your day the same way.

A stressed body cannot function properly. If you can’t function properly, you cannot increase your performance or productivity. So, start getting up early if you want to achieve the most out of your days.

3. Always eat breakfast

Breakfast: The most important meal of the day. You should always rehydrate and reenergize your body every morning. This will make your body perform at an optimal level and increase productivity and performance.

4. Read something in the morning

After waking up, you need to remind your brain that it is time to stop sleeping. One of the best ways to jump-start your mind is to read. Reading newspapers is a great way to learn something new, but also keeps you away from electronics.

It does not have to be something related to your work or complicated stuff. A simple article from your morning newspaper could do the trick. Do not read exhausting subjects as they will add stress on you and affect you negatively.

If you want to increase your performance and productivity, start reading something in the morning.

5. How to increase your performance: Respect time

Time is money and you should treat it that way. You only have 24 hours in a day and most of it is spent sleeping, driving, talking on the phone, watching movies, TV, etc.

This leaves you with a few hours of the day. These hours should be used wisely if you want to achieve productivity. When you are making your daily plan, make sure that you allocate time for each task and train yourself to complete the task in that time. If an activity is not completed during its own time, stop it and move to the next task.

Borrowing time from other activities could end up ruining your day. It is possible that you could use most of your time on one task or two. By skipping a task, you will have a chance to complete other tasks. The task you did not finish will be completed later after the other ones are complete. You need to have rules and the discipline to follow them. If you can’t follow your own rules, then do not have them. It will be a waste of time and money.

6. Stay positive and avoid negative people

Keeping your emotions in check in the morning will help you navigate the day with ease. Your goal is to start the day with a well-rested and stress-free body. You need to start the day with confidence and hope that you will have a great day.

The only way to achieve this is to stay positive and avoid negative people. When you are negative about yourself or particular events, your brain tries to knock you down. Your brain is your greatest companion. It is always looking for ways to help you out. The problem is that it does not know what you need.

So, if you are negative, it(your brain) will continue to feed you with negative emotions and bring negative stuff that you encountered in the past or will encounter in the future. Negative thoughts will lurk in the background. This will also apply when you interact with negative people. These people can tick you off and ruin your day.

With a negative mindset or a ruined day, you cannot increase your performance or productivity. Be optimistic and focus on the task ahead with a positive mindset.

7. How to increase your performance: Respect others

You should always respect all people, especially in the morning. Getting in conflict with a person in the morning will ruin your day. That is your day is pretty much finished if you got yelled at or yelled at someone. Conflicts feed negativity, and you cannot increase your performance with a negative mindset. Instead of setting up goals and how to achieve them, you only focus on the conflicts you encountered. This leads to a misuse of time and a reduction in performance and productivity.

8. Stay hydrated

Water is life. Your body performs better when you are hydrated. The water you drink in the morning will boost your entire morale and pave your way to success. A few glasses of water in the morning will help. You should gradually drink extra water throughout the day to achieve the daily intake recommended by experts.

9. Eat healthy meals

Just like water, the food you eat directly impacts your performance. Good food increases your health. A healthy body can achieve anything. If you ate something you did not like or a junk breakfast, your body will continue to reflect on how bad the food was. Why you should not eat it again or why it was a bad idea to cook it or buy it, etc. A small thing can tick you off and drive you mad during the day. Bad food can easily achieve this.

A nice and healthy breakfast will boost your energy, increase your confidence, and give you a good spirit. These characteristics will increase your productivity and performance during the day. It is like you have nothing to worry about. You only focus on the only thing that matters: Achieving the best you can in a few active hours you have at your disposal.

10. How to increase your performance: Take a break

Your body is made of flesh and bones. They get tired very often and can break easily. In addition, your body is the only one you have. Once damaged, you are done if not gone. So, to make sure that you protect it, take breaks when needed.

If you work at a place where taking a break is not allowed, you should sue someone or quit as soon as possible. You need a break to perform better. Taking a break will take physical and mental stress off your body. As a result, you will be able to rethink your task and find new alternatives or creative ways to get it done. To increase your performance and function at an optimal level, take a break when you need it.

11. Workout regularly

Working out helps you release some stress and cleanse your body. This will reinvigorate your mind and give you a clean start. Working out in the morning also increases your confidence. Once you are confident, it will be easy for you to increase your performance and productivity at work.

12. How to increase your performance: Make your bed

This may sound funny but it can help you increase your performance. Making your bed will give you a sense of accomplishment. Within the first few minutes of your day, you have started, performed, and accomplished a task already. This is a good start and your body will feel energized. Hence, motivating you to accomplish more tasks.

In addition, a well-done bed will make your room look better and more presentable. At the end of the day, you know that you will sleep in a nice and comfortable bed.

13. Tell yourself that you are going to have a great day

Last but not least. Tell yourself that you are going to have a great day. Look yourself in the mirror and repeat the following sentence 10 times or more: I AM GOING TO HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Now that sounds crazy! If you thought it is crazy to talk to yourself in the mirror, you are not alone. I thought the same thing too. But it works. You see, it is all about mental programming. Everything we experience affects us based on how we respond to it. Telling yourself that you are going to have a great day will send a positive signal in your subconscious that you will have a great day. As you repeat this message, it will be registered in your mind. Once registered it is difficult to erase it.

Is an unhappy customer going to change your mood by yelling at you? Nope! You already know that you are going to have a great day, and therefore, a yelling customer is a noise in the background. Once your subconscious believes that you are going to have a great day, it will come true.
